Hey everybody! Welcome! This is where you post your UnFucking It Up activities! You can also nominate other people! We will let you know each month who the winner is!

Hey Katie or who ever you are. It looks like I'm the first UnFucker to comment here, but I could be wrong. I'm looking forward to being UnFucker of the month sometime. My UnFucking it up activities are many but the one I partake in on a full time basis is Anti-War activism. Thanks for being an UnFucker and for promoting UnFucking it up activities.

I try not to fuck up anything that's not already fucked up! I also try my best to raise kids to not fuck anything up and work at unfucking the already fucked.

Hi Katie and Soren! Wow this is real. Sounded real at the show Thurs. nite, but then when I was thinking about it later, I was wondering if you could really have a site with Fuck in the title. Amazing what can be done! Way to go! Totally enjoyed the show Thurs. evening and my sides are still a bit sore from laughing! Thanks for the inspiration to share our unfucking the world activities. Just this month, I put together a fun project called the "Love-In." Designed to encourage people to make love, not war. Inspired by a conversation with a friend about John Lennon and Yoko Ono's "Bed-In" in 1969. You can read more about it at the blog: http://kriszimmermann.wordpress.com/2011/04/04/lo… Something fun, simple, powerful and transformational. Expressing more love and allowing those creative energies to flow will definitely heal anything! Thanks for sharing your energies and making the world a better place!
    Love and Peace, Kris

last night was one of your better shows in a long time.
We have seen almost all of them! Congrats on having your Mom here, she was fabulous! Pat

    Hi Katie,

I saw your show last night and was absolutely floored at how amazing you women were up there. I am bowing right now. Applause…applause. =) Anyway, I am a new unfucker and would love to help unfuck as much as possible. I think this counts. Wait, I think my sisters puppy just shit. I'll brb…. False Alarm, thank God. He's just gassy. So, my sister and I are currently in the process of writing music and recording our first album ever of blues/alternative/pop…not sure what genre and are loving every minute of it. We have written a song for soldiers that is about turning to Peace. I'm not a professional unfucker as I have made very clear, but I think that counts. We are working with a great group of artists and are doing everything in our power to get that song out into the universe to promote peace! I love you girls and everything you stand for. Continue to rock on and I will continue to find ways to unfuck the world. Peace!

After watching your show last night, which was just amazing–I am ready to start unfucking up the world, I will keep you posted on my unfucking activities, can't wait to get started!

You ladies rock my world. I am a long time Broad fan and enjoy every show I see. In short I am an unfucker and yet I have so many friends that are unfuckers that are so more deserving of the title of unfucker of the month. My work and my life away from work is guided by unfucking the world. I feel the focus here needs to be on bringing people to our side of wanting to be an unfucker and not praising the ones that already are unfucking the world. I feel like I am preaching to the choir here, because if you're at this site you most likely already are unfucking the world. How do we get the people that fucked up this world and are still fucking up this world to start unfucking? By example! Pick up trash when you walk, pick up after your dog, the obvious is to recycle, but we all forget about the other R's, Refuse, Reuse, Reduce. Refuse to buy product with excessive packaging, or plastics, refuse plastic straws and plastic bags. Reuse your ziplock bags, reuse cardboard boxes, reuse glass jars. Reduce, don't we already have enough crap in our homes. Why do we need storage units to hold more crap that we don't ever intend to use, give it to a charity to resell or to give a second life to a person barely making ends meet. I can go on but I'll get off my soapbox for now.

Unfuckalicious. First time to encounter the good word used for such a good purpose.
I have recently become involved in doing Search and Rescue volunteer work. This is an amazing opportunity to respond to and try to unfuck what happens in the wake of disasters. Natural, manmade or personal ie.. lost hikers. Mostly I try to unfuck myself and go from there. Thanks for the platform.

    Hi Katie –
I've been working at unfucking things up for about fifty years, but never with so much sense of humor attached. My archive consists of more than 250 published letters to various newspapers around the country, preaching peace (ending wars) and justice (civil rights, civil liberties) and holding the feet of those who do the fucking up to the fire. I often preach to the choir, but have been told that it makes the choir sing louder, and hastens the unfuckingup of things. Last week, I preached unfucking in a newspaper in Maine, one in Corpus Christi, TX and in the Chronicle. Today I sent unfuckingitup letters to the papers in Billings, Missoula, Helena and Butte, all of which are badly in need of unfuckingup.

  11. Saharadevi May 4 2011 @ 8:58 pm

Unfucking has been my lifepath…Since 1999 promoting the Evolution Revolution, because while the Prince of Wales (in Harmony/A New Way of Looking at Our World) says: “It is the way we see the world that is ultimately at fault" I say that it is not merely our way of looking at the world but an even more essential matter: our way of looking at ourselves. For how can we possibly see the world clearly if we cannot clearly see ourselves?

To this end we must wake up from the trance into which we've been lulled and recognize our Oneness, because self-serving fucks up everything, and the way to unfuck is Love All, Serve All.

Listen to the rap here: http://www.saharadevi.com/home/the-evolution-revo…

I cooked dinner – managed to not fuck that up. My family all ate at the same table, nothing spilled, there was no arguing, dogs didn't fart, dishes were done by teenagers without bitching. I would call that the ultimate in Unfucked up. Unfucking the world one dinner at a time.

    Peace, Susan

  13. AmazingSusan May 5 2011 @ 12:27 am

I created a twitter and Facebook campaign called @SheSpeaksNow to give a greater voice to women online and everywhere else because it's so fucked up that we don't have the amount of say in the world that we should have. That's one of my unfucking projects. So pleased to be part of the worldwide UNfucking movement.

    Very awesome site, thank you!!!
What do you do, if you're doing all the big "out there" unfucking it up stuff like social and environmental consciousness rallies, lifestyle changes, etc, but you know that closer to home, below the surface, you personally are fucked up? How do you unfuck yourself??
    …Please come to Australia!

I need to submit my friend Emma Kwasnica as the epitome of international unfuckery. Among other activism work, she responded to formula makers continuing to undermine breastfeeding by creating a global milk sharing network via Facebook. In the 6 months since, hundreds of babies have gained access to human milk and Emma continues to unfuck our society's twisted views of breastfeeding. Your song has helped us so much in the past weeks to get through the hard unfucking work that needs to be done. I ran for House of Representatives in Montana. As I went door-to-door, people asked, “Oh, who is the incumbent?” They knew nothing about him or his agenda, yet they voted for him anyway because he was running under their party of choice.

The problem with our government today is “us,” we the people. We are not doing our job…participating as informed voters. Even though I was not elected, I have written a book about running for office in America in hopes of encouraging others to try to make a difference by getting active in politics, running for office and/or being an informed voter.

My book is titled The Truth Behind Running for Office in America and is for sale as an ebook on my website, aprilbuonamici.com. I am sure you would find much fodder for Broad Comedy in my account of what it feels like to be a candidate for public office.

  18. Donald J Haberkorn May 9 2011 @ 10:22 am

To try to help unfuck things, I started an environment page in the newspaper (I know, it's hard to believe we still have those) where I work, the Collier Citizen. I'm just the lowly layout artist, but I went to the fuckers who run the joint and they said OK. So now we can help educate the these stupid fuckers who think shooting randomly at birds is cool. NOT COOL. The Conservancy of Southwest Florida constantly has birds brought in that are injured by buckshot. The stupid fuckers who shot at birds probably can't even read, but the page has helped bring in more donations to a very busy clinic. We also publish articles brought to us by Audubon's Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary and Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center. I also write to my congressmen, my governor and president but who knows if those fuckers aren't actually aliens in human skin. I'm a fine art painter in my spare time and will have website up soon and I plan to help unfuck things by donating art to worthy causes and will post your song there as well. "He who makes his comrades laugh deserves heaven" ~ some Communist fucker who probably had nothing else to look forward to. Thanks for making me laugh. Hope to see you live some day. Keep unfucking it up!

thanks for the song.. thats a riot and I love it. Love the passion and the rant and the poking fun at the short-lived love and inspiration…. good for you….
what am I doing: publishing an online site/magazine for 15 years (as welll as printed but stopped that about 2 years ago) about practical solutions in housing, transportation, money, energy, food and other categories so people cannot say they dont know what to do because theres LOTS of things to DO… but its becoming more apparent that people would rather whine and blame than take responsibility for something that they are passionate about (thus your song). I also screen 7-12 films a month in three different cities with my traveling screen filming equipment, going to various libraries, cafes, homes, yoga studios and churches to show very cool films like MAD CITY CHICKENS, THE ECONOMICS OF HAPPINESS, THE SPIRIT MOLECULE (about DMT), VINE OF THE SOUL, FOOD MATTERS, INGREDIENTS, IN SEARCH OF GOOD FOOD, VEER, THE WORLD NAKED BIKE RIDE and a plethora of others.. I had a film library of 500 docs where people could borrow or rent films to show with friends at home… but it died because of netflix, etc…. but I like bringing back the town hall feeling with audiences after they see a film, so hopefully that solutionary film's inspiration is not short lived but now they may have new friends who will connect with them to keep that inspiration and activity alive and well. visit: http://www.hopedance.org for details, articles, trailers, videos, a community calendar and of course a facebook presence….

UnFuck it up! Billions of dollars have been wasted on Africa in the name of "civilizing the 3rd world" The white man's burden to "fix" the land they cut up through colonialism. Well, Engineers Without Borders – Montana State University Students understand that. A new generation of aid, that works with the people, inspires the people, and encourages the locals of the land to work together and make the change they would like to see, instead of relying on the white man's "charity".. These kids do amazing, authentic "unFuck it up" work.

Follow the Webseries "Meet Me Katikati" (Meet me in the Middle) A look into this style of aid put together by yours truly and Zach Gartner in the Montana State School of Film and Photography.

My neighbors and I, in an extremely un-funded grassroots organization called GOMAG, are challenging some unconstitutional provisions in MT zoning law that favor big industry (mining, timber, construction and developers) and are obstacles for good land use planning! Currently in the MT Supreme Court.

  23. Carol Lee-Roark May 17 2011 @ 1:48 pm

Engineers Without Borders – MSU is excessively cool!

  24. Carol Lee-Roark May 17 2011 @ 1:53 pm

I voted for you! Can't really understand who voted for MM, and hope they followed him in the MT Leg — his actions were ridiculous and idiotic!

Well…Planned Parenthood is certainly doing their part to unfuck things. http://www.theonion.com/articles/planned-parentho…. I am forever humbled and my goals to unfuck things are now limited to the check book and the universal remote that somehow now turns on the lawn sprinklers whenever I go to the Weather Channel.

Hi all! My family and I are untangling the web of debt we are in. We are currently following a budget, selling our car, moving out of our house, paying off debt, and will become completely debt-free within two years.
It's easy to say the financial sector fucked it up, but when you're free from debt slavery and no longer under the thumb of the banks, they can't do anything to you.
If everyone adopted a debt-free lifesyle, we could all unfuck it up from the ground up.

  27. Patty Sherry May 18 2011 @ 11:37 am

    Hi all,
My contribution is forming a FB page and website aimed at sharing how i continually attempt at un-fucking myself up…although I call it Share Your Love Story ( who said life or the love story isn't fucked up?) It's not really that big of an endeavor if we all focused inward, un-fucked ourselves ( loved ourselves a bit more) we'd have more tolerance for those we might look at and judge " You're fucked up" …so the way I see it, one less judgement of ourselves…lead to one less judgment of the world…

  28. Melly Kat May 18 2011 @ 12:55 pm

    Love the song!

I'm UnFucking It Up by loving and respecting the person that I am… Gotta start small to make big changes in this world, right?

  29. @kellyberd May 20 2011 @ 10:21 am

I planted enough heirloom (NOT GMOs) vegetables in my garden, that will be raised chemical-free, to feed my family and give to neighbors this summer, hopefully unfucking the cancer epidemic in a tiny way… hoping the message I send along with the baskets of vegetables turns tiny unfucking into broader scale unfucking, one vegetable garden and one grocery-purchasing ethic at a time.

  30. chuzpeace May 20 2011 @ 7:10 pm

I'm helping to unfuck my local school district by working to pass a parcel tax measure to get our counseling program back, our libraries back open, and some teachers back in the classroom so we don't have 40+ students in each class. Yes, it's fucked… but I'm doing my part. And those who fucked it up, well, they're still around but we're phone-banking to potential unfuckers and getting lots of support. This is this month's unfucker campaign on my agenda… and there's tons more where that came from. "I want to be an unfucker!" is my new anthem.

  31. lorraine May 21 2011 @ 8:10 am

I am not running for office–that is my contribution to not fucking up the all ready fucked up world.

I love what you've done! I'm sitting here in Stockholm, Sweden and had the pleasure of watching the video via friends on Facebook. Apathy and feelings of helplessness are obviously serious problems, but you've managed to take a powerful word, probably the most powerful we have in the english language, and give it a positive spin. You made it fun to get angry and want to make change!
For my part, well, I've raised 3 wonderful sons to adulthood and instilled values of non-violence, tolerance, fairness, and equality in them, and my whole working career has been with mental illness and addiction. Just taking care of my own part of the vineyard and spreading warmth and humour where I can. I've shared the video with as many people as I can and look forward to hearing more about what you've started here. Of course I'd love to win a t-shirt, but I'd be happy to buy one as well, they're really great! Look forward to having the opportunity to explain to offended people what it means, hahaha. Thanks again!

  34. EurekaJanet May 23 2011 @ 9:46 pm

Wow…Okay, so I'm late again…but at least this time I know I'm not pregnant. Here's how I unfucked it up: http://eurekajanet.wordpress.com/2011/04/10/a-hea…

Yeah…it's a fucking blog post…and I hit it more than anyone else does. Actually I've hit it at least twice a day since I posted it. My own blog post. Sad.

    It soothes me…and I'm in City Government…so that's saying a lot.

I do so want to belt it out at a meeting one night…just once. My life would be complete. *unfuckingsigh……

  35. Larke May 24 2011 @ 5:35 am

Hi. This is just an amazing website – and that SONG, Katie, wow. I, who am usually found trying to do something unspectacular but deeply encouraging to everyone I encounter (I really do try to do that)…is inspired. That is worth its weight in spiritual gold, and I thank you!

Presently, I am doing some quiet but (IMO) important things to encourage others in SecondLife (a really wonderful place of beauty and incredible artistic expression as well as one with loads of opportunity to do good things for all worlds…). In addition, I am now using my skills in dance, nutrition, and caring to make a healthy difference for local children and their families. Whilst my personal activities may make but a small impact, I already know just how important it is to carry on. Helping one person is of inestimable value in promoting the unfucking of the world…but then, ofttimes, inspiration is shared, new ideas sparked, energy recharged for someone else so that they can pursue their own dreams of unfucking the world. (PART 1)

  36. Larke May 24 2011 @ 5:36 am

That we have any POWER at all is illusion. What we have is INFLUENCE, which is – in my experience – far more impactful for much longer. Let me then toss my little pebble into the pond…over and over again. And Katie…check out the LIVE music scene in SL – you would have a ball and reach thousands around the world with your message… (PART 2)

    Namaste.

  37. Jenelle Levenque May 24 2011 @ 7:55 am

I work for transgender veterans. Being a veteran is fucked up. Being transgender is fucked up too. Put them together and WOW! People who are fucked up, pretty much all of us, need to know that others can care about them even though they're totally messed up.
Gee, that sounds like LOVE. What a wonderful concept.

  38. Dan Voulkos May 24 2011 @ 10:40 am

Myself, well all you have to do is read my FB page to see my rants. Fuck 'is' a proper word to use these days.

I had read a small blurb here in Bozeman's newspaper re; campground tables costing $3000. a piece. Pissing me off so bad I wrote a letter to the editor. They didn't publish it, so I started a website at hyalitelake.com for all to peruse. More than one issue there. I will get other pages up on all of my other fucking rants. (as of today I still cannot get a forum or blog set up via my ISP, working on it today again for input kids) Thanks so much Katie and Soren.

  41. Hanna Shuey May 24 2011 @ 9:10 pm

My personal UnFucker is my mother, Nurse Tayler. Apart from being an awesome role model figure and mother for me, she also inspires me because she spends the majority of her time working at the VA Hospital in our tiny city of Lebanon, PA. She makes a difference in so many veterans' lives; she goes out of her way to make sure all of her patients are well cared for, comfortable, and as unfucked up as possible. With her team of awesome nurses, my mom sees to it that the men and women who served our country have as pleasant an experience as they can when they come to her floor. Everything from wiping butts to chatting while walking with patients is on my mother's to-do list when she goes to work, and she loves the feedback she gets from them. They come to the VA a bit fucked up, and they leave a great deal more unfucked than when they entered. I consider that a job amazingly done.

  42. plot_tracer May 24 2011 @ 9:10 pm

I want to nominate Trill Zapatero (Gwen) who has not only created Unfuckitup teeshirts in SL (before she knew about this site) but also has raised nearly $2000USD for a womans charity in Afghanistan (www.rawa.org) by making sl clothes etc and selling them to people with vain avatars. She has also created a huge Zinn library, an Afghanistan exhibit and a RAWA exhibit in the virtual world where people actually get a bit of education. (the 2nd life tee can be seen here – http://plotsplot.blogspot.com/2011/04/unfuckitup…. )

  43. Eric Thompson May 25 2011 @ 9:13 pm

Wow, after reading what everyone else is doing to unfuck up the world, I have to admit that I'm pretty much ununfucking it right back up. I rescued a puppy and two kittens!… so, I've got that going for me (well, the kittens was my wife, actually). Other than that, I gave blood recently, prayed for Alabama, and said "hi" to a fat kid. But, you've inspired me to up the unfucking up. So, I went out and bought an inversion table (I don't know if it was tested on animals or not though) because I figured I'd start small and unfuck up my back and if that went okay then I'd move on to some intermediate unfucking up like unfucking up my Tivo from recording Fashion Police or unfucking up all these work jeans with the crotch blown out. Seriously, doesn't it seem a little far-reaching to unfuck up the world in crotchless jeans? What the unfuck's up with that, am I right? Baby steps. Anyway, I plan to look for more ways to unfuck up the world (I ain't giving up Jesus, bacon, or a belief in free market economics thought).

    Peace out, motherunfucker!

    ET

  44. gaelan brown May 27 2011 @ 7:49 am

We can't wait for the fuckers to unfuck the world, we must unfuck the world ourselves. Myself and a group of others in Vermont have been unfucking shit by figuring out how to use COMPOST as an energy source.

Through http://www.CompostPower.org we've built several "compost power" mounds that have water-lines inside them. Compost gets hot, so we can get several hundred gallons of 120-degree water per day by circulating water through the water-lines.

The mounds are made of shredded brush and bark-mulch, so natural aeration keeps the composting process going for 12+ months without the mounds having to be "turned" or aerated, and these systems produce hot water 24/7 for 12+ months. It only takes one day to build one, and it works!

Then, after collecting free hot water for 12+ months you have a large pile of garden-ready compost to sell or to feed your gardens…no waste, no emissions, cost-effective, low-tech, easy to build. Totally UNFUCKED!

  45. Kurosh May 27 2011 @ 7:26 pm

Hi Katie and all the unfuckers, i have to admit i have not unfuck anything since i saw this video a few weeks ago. However, i assure you that i have not fucked it up much to begin with. The only things i do that contrubuties to fucking it up is that i use too much water when i wash dishes….. i swear that's the only thing.

    Hey..,
My nomination is District Court Judge, Jeffrey S. White. He is the judge that finally put a roadblock in front of the worlds most hated and evil corporation MONSANTO. Otherwise known as Mon-SATAN, MONSTER-anto, and many other names relating to the fact that they are systematically poisoning Americas food supply and what's left of our farmland as well as the rest of the worlds by creating GMOd seed stock and the poisons that they are resistant to. Read about the cotton farmers in India and the current suicide rate among them.., all brought on by Mon-SATAN. Judge White is the worlds hero and his name should be across the sky in neon. HE is our guy! ~~~~~~~~~><))'>

Why do you call Defense/Military when it is so Offensive.' Yes we
may get some viable health-care system going if we could get some of the psychotic
imbeciles out of office. I lost all Respect for Nancy Pelosi when she rain a campaign for
"I'm going to teach George W. Bush he can't get away with criminal activity." I
actually voted for her thinking we were going to see the Criminals go to jail. I do
appreciate your responses but I keep getting the visualization of tumble weeds blowing
around the desert with no destination. We have a long way to go before we see daylight
and many skeletons in the closet screaming for closure.

  51. Ironica June 3 2011 @ 1:34 pm

I think my greatest contribution to unfucking it up is by raising two boys to see women as people, food as things that grow, and the world as a place we share. I always try to buy from small, independent businesses, rather than megacorporations that had a big part in fucking it up. And I work for a non-profit that provides homeless services, writing for funding that we use to unfuck people who have been royally fucked, often from childhood. Without help, these people (without malice or intent) fuck things up for everyone else, by clogging emergency rooms or stealing food to eat or getting blitzed on alcohol or drugs to take away the pain of existence for a while, then dying in front of our stores and homes and fucking up traffic with the ambulance and coroner and everything.

I could do more, and I hope I DO do more as time goes on… but counteracting the constant societal pressure to fuck up my six-year-old and three-year-old takes a LOT of time and energy, so it'll have to wait a little bit.

  52. BrutlStrudl June 5 2011 @ 10:17 am

I sent the video to my congressman and a suggestion to use it as a sing a long for memberrs of the freshman clsss who haven't been in office long enough to fuck it up.

  53. Rythea June 5 2011 @ 1:32 pm

I love that song so much! I am unfucking things up by working with survivors of childhood sexual abuse and helping them take off the shame and give it back to the people who fucked them up. AND it's working! Healing is real and possible.
You can read more about if you check out my book Trauma into Truth: Gutsy Healing and Why It's Worth it on Amazon.com. This is the cutting edge work of our time, dealing with trauma and unpacking the long term effects. We can do it, we can unfuck this up.

I am committed to Beauty and Justice so I founded WhiteEarth.org to educate people how to save the earth’s reflectivity/albedo NOW because 50K+ sq. km of ice have been lost every year averaged over the past 30 years and is getting worse. Together we can "paint the world white" saving money in the process AND helping with global warming.

Hi Katie, I liked your video but the audience seemed to be more in a "ha ha" mood while you were "ha ha only serious".

A few of the things I'm doing to unfuck it up, or as a good friend of mine says, "fuck it down": I buy grains, beans, flour and such in bulk, using my own reusable ziploc bags, with the goal of "zero waste". The upfuckers seem to believe that the earth can absorb infinite quantities of garbage while still providing us with pure water and clean places to live. I walk, bike (until some upfucker stole my bike a few weeks ago) and take public transit, don't even own a motor vehicle any more. A big part of the upfuckery is due to the use of fossil fuels. I mostly avoid buying anything (except of course for food) new: manufacturing processes are mostly wasteful and toxic, and generate scads of packaging material. But all the aforementioned isn't really unfucking, it's still fucking things up, only less than the dedicated upfuckers. What I'm doing to really unfuck things up is to learn new ways (or ancient ways) of doing things that don't fuck things up at all, and posting these ways on sites like wikihow.com; and find ways of reusing all the so-called "garbage", because once we've used up all the fossil fuels, the upfuckers will be still getting richer by *selling us back all the stuff we paid them to put into landfills*. But as you lamented in your song, I know none of this is enough. I just hope I find out how to unfuck things better, and share them with the world, before we fuck things up past the point of no return.

  56. cynthia woods June 11 2011 @ 5:15 pm

Didn't read your other posted comments so hope this isn't redundant. I try to unfuckup the animal world by taking in as many screwed up animals as I can afford to and work with others to do the same. I take the potbellied pigs that were totally fucked up by their owners when they fed them little debbies and biscuits (probably with ham) and chocolate until they were so fat they couldn't walk. I take the dogs who are so badly matted by the laziness of their fucked up owners that maggots lie beneath or goats on the way to the slaughterhouse because they ate up their owner's fucking garden, etc. I try to help all animals reach good health and a better personality so they can get adopted. Unfucking up the world one animal at at time.

Another GREAT reality of composting is putting all that carbon into the ground, not into the atmosphere. Way to unfuck it, Gaelan!

  58. Niki T June 18 2011 @ 10:54 am

Katie! Your unfucking song is fucking stupendous! And provides me a humorous approach to sharing what I've known for years: that we each have to devote ourselves to all the ways we can help unfuckitup.

I help unfuckitup by reusing, recycling or second-handing everything possible that comes into my life. I compost on a huge scale, including all kinds of paper (shopping bags, egg cartons, shipping packaging made of paper) and continually encourage local eateries to evolve from the use of styrofoam to paper to-go containers which my compost can digest. I compost worn out clothes made from plant materials (cotton, silk, linen, ramie, hemp) and have a 20 foot long twig "berm" in my city yard that absorbs all the woody debris from my lot, which provides valuable in-city habitat for birds and insects, and an ongoing soil supplement from this slowly biodegrading organic matter.

All of this composting is, you might say, carbon positive: putting carbon into the ground instead of into the choked atmosphere.

    Keep up the Unfucking!

As this is my first day of learning the new word "unfuckitup",I see it becoming my new path in life….I will start by making a list of all the things I can think of that are fucked up.then put them in order of importance, then procede to try to unfuckitup.____

I am trying to un fuck the family court system. ( I can hear you divorced parents already) Actually the system is not fucked up, they just learned how to make money. So I started a web site to expose the fuckedness and then created a business out of it. So those in my case conspired to conceal my children from me and to try and force me to shut down my business and web site. In 2010 the Court of appeals stated in their opinion that Judge Patricia Gardner was not applying the law when changing custody and they have had to reverse several of her cases. Currently I am waiting the Michigan's Court of Appeals opinion in my case. My cases started with Judge Gardner and then when I started my web site she took herself off the case and Judge Daniel Zemiatis continued her abuse and now we are in the appeals process. To learn more and to please donated to my cause, go to http://www.abusedswan.com. Good luck trying to unfuck the fuck ups. –Deanna Kloostra

Ok. I have to go to Berkeley City Council, because they have really f*cked things up for the most disabled children and adults by making sure that our one warm therapy pool would be demolished. Many will die without this service. Some people say BERKELEY– the leader of ideas and the city who leads the way. Yes, once again many of us go to city hall again, where we have been fighting for over ten years to save our pool. Please wish us well for trying to unf*ck what our city council and school district has done over the years. It breaks my unf*cking heart. I need to say that I am one of the disabled in great pain most of the time, and this is the only thing my doctors recommend. The city council will put us close to last on the agenda so we have to painfully wait to speak for a minute.

  66. Danielle June 28 2011 @ 7:20 pm

I'm unf*cking up my small part of the world by trying to find new owners for the stuff I can't keep (moving out of my place and not moving in to a place means massive downsizing in the way of personal items). And not just dumping it all at Goodwill. Takes longer but ends up being used and not f*cking up the landfill.

Suggesting Chris Reeder. For why, read his blog description below. It doesn't mention that he has been organizing the Solidarity Sing Alongs for the last 15 weeks.
    http://dreameagaine.tumblr.com/

I am a resident of Wisconsin, and have been for ten years.

I have been attending the protests almost every day since February 15. I have been there, I have taken pictures, I have talked to the participants. I have been amazed and inspired by the passionate, creative, energetic and (most of all) peaceful people I have had the chance to meet. What I read and see in the media does not reflect what I have participated in. Like many others, I am sure, I have taken to the internet to combat this. I want the world to know what is happening here. I want the world to hear our voices.

Prior to February 15, I was politically aware. Now, I am politically active. There are thousands more like me who never thought they would be political activists. But, now we are working to make sure that the voice of Wisconsin is heard.

Prior to February 15, I was a resident of Wisconsin. Now, I am a reluctant revolutionary and, apparently, despite my best intentions, a blogger.

    More on Chris Reeder: http://www.thedailypage.com/isthmus/article.php?a…

The New Activists: The Conductor, R. Chris Reeder
    Kenneth Burns on Thursday 05/12/2011

    Reeder leads the Capitol sing-alongs.

He's a conductor, but don't look for a baton. Leading the chorus at a recent Solidarity Sing-Along, R. Chris Reeder kept time by stamping his foot on the floor of the Capitol. About 30 people formed a ring around the Rotunda and sang songs of protest and labor.

They sang "We Shall Not Be Moved" and "Union Maid." They sang "This Land Is Your Land," with new lyrics for the protests against Gov. Scott Walker's policies. "This house is your house, this house is my house/Scott Walker will never push us out."

The sing-alongs take place at noon every weekday, either in the Rotunda or outdoors on the State Street side of the Capitol. Reeder, 40, has been directing them almost since they began on March 15, when the Wisconsin Network for Peace and Justice's Steve Burns organized the first one. Says Reeder, "It's really important that the Capitol presence be maintained."

Reeder missed one sing-along a couple of weeks ago. "Other than that," he says, "I've been at all of the sing-alongs since the first full week." In addition to directing, he brings the songbooks and updates the Facebook page. Other regulars bring the signs and handle donations.

Reeder joined the protests on Feb. 15. He and his wife slept in the Capitol, and he maintained a blog and Flickr and YouTube pages about the events. After the largest protests died down, he says, "I kept trying to figure out a way that I could help out more with what was going on, and then the sing-alongs started up."

They are, he says, "a place to rejuvenate your spirit, to heal your soul, to come together, to connect to each other and, most importantly, to make your voice heard."

I would like to nominate Kelly Karius for this singular honor. Kelly, a social worker, has placed herself in the middle of the worldwide effort to end bullying. She has done this by developing a new anti-bullying curriculum for schools of all levels and for parents, called "No Such Thing as a Bully." Her thinking is that we can only move forward – both with bullies and victims – by removing the labels "bully" and "victim." She has also developed the online anti-bullying campaign "24-Hour Bully Stake-Out" (http://facebook.com/bully.stakeout), in which creative works, anti-bullying materials, and testimonies are shared widely via Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

I used to do home energy audits in the 80s and early 90s. I am teaching classes on energy saving and green cleaning to low income folks in my city now. My home is small, efficient, and I grow lots of food all around it, in my small city lot. I have rain barrels, use a plastic pitcher in my tub to reuse shower water to flush my toilet. I collect free wood and burn it in my woodstove in winter. I use solar lights, a solar panel, and have a bike generator. Every year I reduce my grid electricity use by at least 20%. Not much more I can do, now. Love my simple lifestyle!

We'd like to nominate Jonathan Turley, the legal counsel for Kody Brown of the "Sister Wives" Utah case about not persecuting – oops, sorry, meant prosecuting – polygamists. Examples of abuse and patriarchal domination are not good arguments, guys – I mean, we all know there's no abuse in monogamous relationships, right?!?! So, time to let people do what they want and butt the heck out. The worst of all this is things like Scalia comparing (in 2003 case) polygamy and homosexuality to bestiality – come on, really? I don't think bestiality is exactly consensual. Oh and Scalia was also wanting masturbation to be illegal – and generally I think masturbation is probably consensual, but possibly not always when guilt is involved… Good grief! So… Check this out: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/21/opinion/21turle…

The HOPE Program helps New Yorkers transcend poverty and prepares them to find, keep, and grow careers. By blending vocational, educational, and social services with a lifelong commitment to a person's growth, HOPE demonstrates that poor New Yorkers can create better lives for themselves and their families.
Our mission is two-fold: to help individuals living in extreme poverty achieve economic self-sufficiency and to inform practices by sharing our research and solutions.
Our direct services program, HOPEworks, fulfills the first part of our mission and encompasses work readiness training, job placement, job retention, and career advancement services. Through HOPEworks, students are prepared to compete in today's workforce. Additionally, an array of on-site support services is provided including: mental health therapy; legal counseling; food and clothing; and assistance in obtaining housing, childcare, medical, and transitional work benefits.

I am only doing a small part to unfuck. I try to raise awareness to my friends on facebook and in person. Right now, I am going to college full time. My major is Women's Studies because women tend to get the shit end of the things a lot. I am also taking psychology and political science classes in hopes of learning new ways to unfuck things. I advocate at my school and participate in activities to raise funds for abused women. My goal is to be a full time unfucker, but can't figure out how to pay the bills while trying to unfuck things on a full time basis. Also, I try to teach my three children how to "unmess" things and show them what is wrong and what things are needed. Such as assistance programs, taxes, and how corporations rule the country. I am trying to raise three "unmessers." They in turn try to get their friends to see the way things are.

    How is it going, Wendy?

  89. Jack July 31 2011 @ 3:29 pm

I experience the underlying reason for the world being fucked is because humanity runs from its pain, its raw emotional pain and traumas. When we carry significant unresolved pain inside us we perpetrate the world. We are exiled from our own bodies and hearts because pain and trauma create a prison for our tenderness, creativity, intuition, and wisdom. With an impoverished inner life we therefor turn outwardly to entertain and thereby distract ourselves, to accumulate power through things, money and manipulation…to try to fill the void inside us…which can only be truly filled by the passionate, creative force of spirit as pain is released.

When we acknowledge and work through our personal, historical pain we are changed and do not inflict our unresolved pain onto the world. We experience the costs and damage of trauma and injustice frist-hand in our own hearts. Experiencing this changes us, fundamentally. We find wholeness inside. We then want and become wholeness for the world and know how to effect it because we have done it in ourselves.

Everybody's heart needs to break open. When the heart breaks open it grounds us like nothing can. It brings our hearts down to the ground, into and part of the living Earth. Then we can truly care, with that care extending to action and sustained passion in the world.

ALL WE NEED TO DO IS TO LOOK AT THE WORLD TODAY FOR OUR HEARTS TO BREAK.

Yet, as many have posted above, people don't want to look at the world and feel the pain of the world, or in themselves. Therefor, I advocate acknowledging and embracing pain and grief as the way to health, wholeness and fundamentally changing our relationship with the world and the living Earth.

I unfuck the world by having unfucked my emotional self. I share the message of emotional integration through my poems, holistic medicine practice, and giving presentations and workshops on deep ecology and emotional healing via following pain in the body to its source…feeling it all and thereby allowing its release from us into freedom, grounded, non-New Age, caring freedom.

I also write a series of articles about the extreme healthcare dangers of corporate agribusiness (Monsanto and friends in crime), the ways and the need for humanity to connect with natural living (I live off-grid on an organic farm I created), and signing many petitions each month at the NRDC website for biogems. I also donate money to environmental groups to help support their fight to save wild land and wildlife.

In fact, invite anyone reading this who wants to help unfuck the world to simply visit this site and sign some petitions to save wilderness and wildlands in immanent danger of destruction. This is easy and efficient way to help unfuck:

Women's Studies………for?………you are a woman correct? You need a bearded professor(that's gender neutral) to tell you about you? Three children, and you need a class on how to advocate for women? Wowie wow. Things that are needed are "assistance programs" "taxes" and that people should know that "corporations rule the country". What are you paying for this priceless indoctrination? Or should I ask, what am I paying for this useless path of "pat me on the back I have an opinion" schooling. Hook, line, sinker. Most "higher level learning" institutions are corporations with a bottom line that play in free market economics the exact same way "corporations (that) rule the country" do. You my friend are a lemming. The problem that I see from here is that you are not funding your dive into "intellectual openness". I am.

Our troops are far too often falsely portrayed as brainless types that couldn't get a job elsewhere; and, the wounded deserve all that can be done for them. So, I and a friend co-founded a charity called Cooking with the Troops (cwtt.org) that is doing food events, culinary career transition, homefront support (how to do good food fast rather than fast food), and frontline support world-wide for U.S. and Allied troops, their families, and caregivers. Only reached a couple of thousand so far, but with donations and thanks to the amazing people joining in to help unfuck things, we will quickly reach several times that. Put a lot of my own money into this, as has my friend, so it's not just using other people's money. Nor do we take from the government. It's just people and groups working together to unfuckitup.

In an effort to make a small difference in the energy crisis, AKA climate change, we built a passive solar strawbale home, heat water with the sun, collect water from our roof etc. BUT we were still using a f__king clothes dryer until last week when ours died and we decided not to replace it. They say a dryer can be 6% of a home's electric use but in our case it's probably a bigger % since we use less electric to begin with. A rack dryer and a clothes line, inside or out, will save you money and make a small step in energy savings which could be huge if enough of us did it.

I am unfucking it up by promoting permaculture — a design system that teaches us how to live sustainably and regenerate nature — in my city of Chico, California. I also practice and promote Nonviolent Communication, which I think is a major key to getting people who hate each other and see each other as enemies to care for one another and work together. I co-facilitate a gathering called Grounding Spirit (for more info see groundingspirit.com) that gives people a space to come together and witness each others' feelings about the world, and then get empowered to do something about it!

This is so small, but was so gratifying. As I rode my bike to work, I passed someone who took a cigarette out of his mouth, and threw it on the ground. I stopped and shouted, "Hey! Excuse me!" While 10 others looked at me, the guilty party did not. I parked my bike, picked up the butt, and tore after him, passing several other people as I ran. When I reached him, I held out the still-lit butt and said, "Excuse me, you seemed to have forgotten something." Here's where it got sad. He questioned, "What do you want me to do?" It would have been more fun to get creative – "I don't know – stick it up your nose? How about popping it into your ear? Well, maybe you could eat it!" Instead, I calmly said, "Hmmm…how about putting it out and then dropping it into the garbage? Thanks!" As I walked back to my bike, someone was smiling and said, "Well, at least you got some exercise." Oy. I'm still thinking about his question: What did I want him to do????? I wonder how much cleaner our Earth would be if we picked up after ourselves, and held each other accountable – and this goes for corporations as well. I'll be doing this small act more often. It was too much fun.

I help people find their lost pets, so far several cats and one rabbit. I help change the area to become more ecologic like reuse of rainwater for watering the plants, sorting the trash into paper, cardboard, batteries, dangerous stuff, electronic stuff, big stuff, thing that can compost to earth and we have got a exchangeroom where people can park the stuff they no longer need but is to good to trow out, and maybe they find someting someoneelse don`t need. We also have sunpanels. And many people use bikes, we are the most biking people in the world in denmark and have our own bike paths along the roads for safety. In our city it is much easier to get around that way. Then in my freetime i am a member of the jury at the citycourt.

I work for a local non-profit in the Phoenix area, providing legal assistance to kids detained by immigration. When kids are caught by immigration (without parents present) they are turned over to the Office of Refugee Resettlement for housing while they go through removal proceedings. These may be kids from many places, but Phoenix mostly gets kids from Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Mexico. We explain to the kids what is happening legally and do an assessment of each kid's case to see if they qualify for a visa. If they do, we help them look for a lawyer who will fight their case pro bono. Sometimes our own staff lawyers take on their cases. I help identify cases and prepare the case by getting the child's story and biographical information as well as explaining the process they will be going through.

i stepped out of the fucked-up world of corporate IT about 5 years ago. since then, i've used my skills to help ordinary folks keep their computers running so they don't have to buy new crap all the time. open source computing makes it easier

i no longer have a bank account (with many thanks to the person who stole my identity: since you did that, i can't get one!) and i only deal in cash. it means i won't get rich but hey, i have real wealth now – good people around me

i do what i can as an active member of the community, promoting coheasion and trying to heal rifts and divisions. nature and the environment are precious so i try to do my best too. i don't have a car but ride a bicycle, hitchhike and use public transport instead. it takes time, but i've got all the time in the world…and the journey is always interesting (i'm in the UK, btw)

most of all, i try to listen: sometimes that's all it takes to lighten another's load

The video made me smile. :) I have done as much as I can, every day. Whether it is to be nice to the corner store clerk and smile and say thank you or to help a lady find the proper way to get to the mall. That was 2 years ago I think, I was taking the #4 bus to the University and on the way there I noticed an older lady who could not speak a word of English. She was franticly asking the other passengers on the bus & the bus driver "mall? mall?" in Italian(she needed the bus going in the opposite direction). I was getting tired of seeing the others doing nothing to help her so I picked up my backpack and walked to the front of the bus. I asked her if she needed help & she responded by pointing to the bus route map 4 repeating "mall, mall". I could see she accidently took the wrong bus & motioned I understood and to wait. When we got to a street where the 4 went both directions I motioned for her to come, we got off & crossed the street and I led her to a bus stop for the 4 going the right way. She nodded in acknowledgement and I smiled before I walked away. Thanks for letting me post this. :)

I want to be an unfucker.. but I have many many ideas and little ways to implement them since I have to survive in this fucked up world at the same time which means devoting much of my time to my own survival. I could use help to pick a way to unfuck.

  126. TechnoZeus November 26 2011 @ 10:45 pm

Well, let's see… Years ago I collected thousands of signatures on a petition to change what allowed it to be F'd up in the first place which started over 200 years ago, lived homeless in Washington DC while I tried to get it enacted, convinced a senator's staff to get their senator to run for president WITHOUT accepting certain money that it was considered impossible to win without accepting, and for that I was thanked by being put through hell and threatened with worse. Now I don't talk about the solution much because I wish to be able to continue activities such as breathing and thinking, but I am working as an entertainer (actor) in the hopes that at least I can play a part in helping people to enjoy what they can of life, and I have gone back to working on a language project called the Pont language, which I hope will help to solve many international communications problems in the long run as well as providing a means by which existing languages can be improved upon and perhaps even guided to evolve in directions which make them less incompatible in terms of learning new languages. It's hard work and makes me feel quite isolated as I have almost no feedback on what I have published of it so far, but it's what I am able to do, so I'm doing what I can. I also support the Occupy LA movement in what ways I can, because I agree that the people need to stand up together for what they feel is right, and against what's wrong, even if they can not fully agree on what those things are.
    Donald Arthur Kronos – Actor

  127. TechnoZeus November 26 2011 @ 11:45 pm

Lots of experimenting going on in the Occupy movements. If you're looking for a way to pick something, that would be a place to start. If there's no occupy movement in your area, perhaps read about the ones that have come and gone, and what went wrong, and help to start one that avoids some of the potential trouble areas. For example: Don't start one in a public park and keep everyone else out; Don't argue with the police and get your whole group arrested while their numbers are still so low that you can't even tell the police "enjoy the extra hours while they last"; And don't destroy city property or property of other people in the name of progress for the people. Learn your 1st amendment rights and the restrictions that go with them, and keep your protest peaceful. In short… live the example you wish others to set.

  128. TechnoZeus November 27 2011 @ 12:51 am

I know exactly what you mean. Unfortunately people tend to not only be so wrapped up in their own lives that they may not even notice someone in need of help, but worse yet if that person doesn't speak their language they may actually be HAPPY that the person is having trouble, thinking that the difficulty is somehow deserved because that person grew up speaking a different language than their own and has not managed to learn the language spoken by the majority of people where they happen to be in addition to the language they learned as a child. Yet, ask a not-quite-simple question about someone's first language and there's a very good chance that the average native speaker of that language will not know the answer. For example, what the difference is between flammable and inflammable. Many years ago, when I was a child, I lived where it was extremely rare to meet anyone who did not speak English. This however did not stop me from recognizing the potential for language differences to cause difficulty, so I decided to create a language that would go between other languages like a bridge, to help people cross the gap between knowing one language and knowing another language. I have worked on that language off and on for most of my life, losing my notes (and pretty much everything else) when I moved from place to place, and having to continue with what I managed to retain in my head. Lately I have begun publishing parts of the language on a sort of beta test basis and I hope that soon I will begin to get some constructive feedback so that I know whether to release more of it with or without making changes first based on such feedback. It should be possible once the language is released, to make a one day lesson specifically for people who wish to travel, which would teach someone enough that if they are traveling and need help, anyone who has also studied that one day lesson should be able to understand most of what they need to communicate and be able to respond and be understood as well. Most people who only speak one language seem to think that another language is just a set of different words for the same things, but it is much more than that. Translation from one human language to another will almost invariably involve loss and distortion of many details. Imagine the difficulty this causes for something like the United Nations. It is also not fair to expect some nations to settle for communicating in such forums in a language which is "foreign" to them, while others can converse in their native tongues. The Pont language is intended to bridge gaps such as these also, by supporting a very expressive Pont dialect based on each language, so that people can decide upon a shared means of communication that works for them. This would take a bit more explaining than I'm guessing you would want to read, so I'll leave it at that, but suffice it to say… I'm working on the problem. :)

I just joined AmericansElect.org which I think is a brilliant beginning for returning the government and the political process back to the people. Candidates for President and hopefully further down the line for Congress etc. are put forth by the people in an online nominating process that disallows special interests and big money. We have to create a new paradigm in our political system so talented, solution oriented and innovative problem solvers are encouraged to seek office at all levels of government. A political system where candidates can speak and act based on the issues and not based on special interests perks. I'm sure it won't be the "unfuck" solution but it's certainly a step in the right direction. I'm encouraging everyone I know to take a look at it!

  130. TechnoZeus November 27 2011 @ 1:22 am

Good for you, and I thank you for doing what you can. Personally, my freedom of speech is quite limited in the Americas. Long story behind that… and it's probably best I don't give it here, but if anyone in the DC movement remembers what I was there fighting for and can convince others there to push for it, we may just ALL get back the rights we have been losing, along with all the rights and liberties that the founding fathers of the United States of America had INTENDED future generations of people to have!

  131. TechnoZeus November 27 2011 @ 1:29 am

Thanks for doing what you can. The solution is out there and awareness of it is slowly growing. I unfortunately can't just send you a link to it (although I do know of such a link, but I leave it alone for my own safety because there is still much I can offer this world), but keep an open mind when an idea comes around that may seem somewhat contrary to "common" sense, because that can tend to get in the way of the truth.

  132. TechnoZeus November 27 2011 @ 1:55 am

That's gotta be pretty frightening for the kids. Its such a shame we have to be considered "property" of the government that owns the land we were born on. Been through it myself, trying to escape persecution in the Americas for having come to close to enlightening the general population of the United States and perhaps some harder-than-average-to-manipulate politicians on how to… well.. let's just say. NEVER AGAIN have to choose between: voting for someone they don't want to win; voting for someone who can't win; and simply not voting.

  133. TechnoZeus November 27 2011 @ 1:58 am

It's called "setting the standard" and in my opinion it's HIGHLY under-rated!

  134. Ann Littlewood November 27 2011 @ 3:35 pm

You work with what you've got. I used to be a zoo keeper so I write zoo mysteries. OK, you're thinking, how is that unfucking a thing? Here's how: a protagonist with respect for the natural world, a different slant on conservation (and I mean in the wild, not captivity), and a pitch or two about how our human activities affect all the other species, all that good stuff wrapped up in a tasty mystery. The goal: suck in people who might not be attracted to environmental messages. You gotta try.

  135. TechnoZeus November 27 2011 @ 8:45 pm

I agree about that web site. It certainly has potential. What I see currently as its biggest down side is that it gives "rankings" of political candidates based on subjective translation of political record into pole answers and comparison of those pole supposed pole answers with a survey. The survey of course will already have limitations to the accuracy of its portrayal of the average American point of view, but many people are likely to look at the numbers without looking at where they came from and that's even worse. At least they do disclose their "interpretations" though, for those who wish to look into for example why they have a particular politician down as represented by a particular answer to a particular poll question… but I think we all know that most people will not look that far. I think it would be best if they removed the comparison to the survey results and instead set it up so each "member" could answer the survey themselves and compare the interpreted answers with their own answers, and perhaps with those of a circle of friends or something like that. It may also make sense to allow each politician or potential candidate a way to actually take the pole and record the answers they would like to represent their point of view, so that one could compare that instead of, or in addition to, the pole answers which have been fabricated through subjective interpretation. Still, as I said… I agree that it looks like a good start. I do hope that people do not take it too seriously in its present form and decide how to vote based on it… but I'm sure some people will. It's probably also safe to guess that political parties will let it effect their positioning of politicians, and especially those parties which use statistics and demographics more than actual reasoning and caring.

Hey, this is awesome!! I recently started helping people find their lost pets, too! Started a Lost & Found Facebook page for my city and I and another volunteer take pictures of strays at the city pound each week, too, and post them up there. One girl found out through our page that her former in-laws had dumped a dog that was a companion of her and her ex! Without our page, she never would have known he was picked up and taken to the pound (and slated to be destroyed). She got him and rehomed him with her dad. Good stuff!

I'm trying to take the feminist movement in a slightly more male-friendly direction. It's still very young, but you can see my attempt here: http://gecrusaders.com/index.php/home/ The idea is to focus on problems that affect both genders instead of just one side or the other. So the pay inequality that affects women, the unfairness in child custody suits that affects men, etc. We're not going to get anywhere if we don't work together on it.

I organize SWEET/MEAT: Spiritual Women Entertaining Enlightening Thought/Men Enlightened And Thoughtful. We are a presently teeny, tiny little group that gets together in a non-judgemental, non-denominational manner to talk to each other and listen to and learn from each other. We trade off hosting every meeting, so everyone has a chance to visit the home of everyone else and the home is doused in positive energy, and so that the meeting continues to be leaderless (inspired by the Occupy movement). It is a place and time to be spiritual without being religious, for fellowship free from indocrination. We do energy work, sending loving energy to those we know who need and want it, and are beginning intentional meditation, to spread peace in our community and globally. Most of us are also locally active in one cause or another, all geared toward freeing the people. Mainly we spread peace and love to try to unfuck it up every day!

However, buy local is a good concept. Go here:
    http://neweconomicsinstitute.org/

and check out how you can create wealth in your own local economy and free yourself from the global one. All you need are: 1. human resources 2. natural resources 3. land and trade locally!

I am in South Africa and China is all over Africa. They have a new name for it: Chinafrica! I'm Chinese myself but not from China. There's ambivalence. They are building huge infrastructure everywhere but taking all the resources in turn.

However, I am also working to promote a Taiwanese monk doing amazing things as well on a project called the African Kung Fu Kids….a project to provide homes for all the AIDS orphans of Africa.

In the end, we just have to find a way to help each other. People aren't the problem….governments and power structures that focus wealth are.

We are looking at adapting permaculture for empowering rural communities in Africa as well. We are trying to keep Monsanto out.

The holistic, integrated project also begins with reminding people of the sacredness of life. My feeling is that because this society has caused us to lose the sacredness of life, this world is all fucked up.

My colleague Alison Richards and I are trying to unfuck AIDS in Africa by creating an awareness campaign of the plight of AIDS orphans and the remarkable African Kung Fu Kids.
    http://www.africankungfukids.com http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/noni/african-… https://www.facebook.com/AfricanKungFuKids

There are an estimated 14 million children in Africa who have lost their parents due to AIDS. I live in South Africa, a country ravaged by AIDS and I work on a project to improve education for students called Let Us Learn
    http://www.let-us-learn.org

In these schools I've been to, there are kids who have to take care of their younger siblings because their parents have died of AIDS. Funerals here are as common as going to the supermarket.

A number of years ago, a Taiwanese Buddhist monk saw the decimation and decided he had to do something. He promised to dedicate 5 lifetimes to serving the children of Africa. He decided to use Shaolin Kung Fu to bring these children back to health and is now on a mission to build orphanages across the entire continent. We are working with Master Hui Li to tell the story of the Africa Kung Fu Kids and to connect with children from all around the world to help their brothers and sisters in Africa.

Oh, and I want to try to bring Katie here to South Africa to sing her songs and spread awareness!

One way to condense our globally fucked state is to say it comes down to pollution. Air, water, soil, our minds, and even our organizations and systems all suffer from excess or misplaced elements.
In the air carbon dioxide gets a bad rap. But it's good for the plants!
In water it's just really not cool to have poop. Haitians are learning this the hard way – or at least we hope they are. Of course who doesn't know that all that poop, if composted and returned to the soil would boost fertility incredibly? (Keeping it from washing away is another niggling challenge)
The mind doesn't do too well when crowded with images of other people's ideals, standards, or expectations. It can also labor unnecessarily under the burden of Cancerous Conscience.
That leaves us with the soil, the best place to put all of our toxins (excess nutrients). Give it time (less than you think) and space (again, less than you may realize) and it responds affirmatively to anything you can throw at it. Just don't expect to grow Monsanto's latest Irridescent Sandwich Radishes (ok, i made them up) and Not find toxic levels of who-knows-what element in them. Don't expect to grow anything, in fact. Wait a season or two while the 'weeds' grow, die, and are composted, and then maybe the toxins will have been bound to other elements and no longer be present in harmful quantities/forms. Maybe. Weeds just might be band-aids for the soil.
So now what is it i do to 'unfuck' things? I go outside. That's right – i 'go' outside. Need it in plain English? When i feel an urge to defecate, loose my bowels, etc, i take myself outside with a small bit of paper towel, toilet paper, serviette, etc, and after digging a small hole in the ground i leave a deposit which gets covered over. Then i place a rock or crossed sticks on top so i can avoid that precise spot for a month or so. (I've never accidentally dug in to find it still smelly)
It's my way of saying, "Thank you, soil, for everything you give us. This is what we've been up to lately."
That way there is no struggle around "foods i think i shouldn't be tempted to or give-in to eating" it's just closing the feedback loop that was interrupted since the Crapper came on the scene, or the "inodoro" as the spanish so nicely put its positive aspect – that of hiding the stench we associate with our own waste.
Now the earth (wherever i travel) is getting bite-sized messages, "Hi Earth! Here's a bean and rice medley with wild purslane soup. It's all blended together with some cinnamon-ginger-bitter orange leaf tea, rye crackers and hydrogenated 'cheese product'. I'm kinda busy so i might not talk to you again for a week, but i know every time i do i always feel so relieved. Thanks again!"
No judgment, just communication delivered with playful humility.
Try it out. Poop outside. Even if your backyard is concrete: Do it once in that pot of soil that was meant to have tomatoes in it but doesn't and pay attention to how you feel in the next few minutes. Be sure to cover it. Bonus points if you do it barefoot.
    Unfuckers Unload!

Since the federal reserve and world bank is the Main reason this is all fucked up to begin with, here's what I do….I take the Federal reserve notes [ which is the paper currency we use for trade a.k.a MONEY] and purchase official united states postal money orders , which takes the place of federal reserve notes and removes them from the system, and brings true , treasury notes into the system…the difference is FRN's are debt with interest…the postal money orders, have no interest cuz it's not "borrowed into our money system".

Just be gentle with yourself and forgive yourself and throw guilt out the window. Feel good to be you and love who you are and then you will emanate that and share it with others :) THAT is the place to start. You don't need to do anything. Just enjoy the beauty of being. Be present with those who love you, communicate, share and from there nurture your soul. That is the biggest revolution, the acceptance of self. Butterfly effect. It's really that easy. Later you can see if you are driven to do other things, however, to push yourself to DO something instead of nurturing yourself, you will wear yourself out. Enjoy, relax, feel and remember you are whole/amazing/creator in the beautiful complex yet simple life grid with other whole/amazing/creators :) simple. Love, acknowledgment.
